Yvonne is a licensed professional who believes in utilizing a person-centered approach in the treatment of individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health, and substance abuse issues. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology, along with a degree in Nursing, and holds a Virginia Board Certified QMHP
Yvonne's educational background and significant experience in social work and nursing provide her with a unique level of insight that yields effective practices. She is very passionate about the level of support that encourages participants to choose where and how they live, learn, socialize and work to improve their quality of life.
Yvonne's long-term goal is to ensure that Marnder's Community Foundation creates a personalized path to independence for everyone, by seeing abilities, not disabilities.
Janelle is a graduate from Howard University and has more than 10 years of experience in the areas of mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Janelle has a background as a Person Centered Organization Coach for a government agency within the DMV area. She has passion for helping people, and while helping one person might not change the entire world, it could change the world for one person.
Janelle's long-term goal is for MCF to vehemently provide fun, meaningful and supportive services to people with mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities in the least restrict way and to ensure that people with different abilities are a part of their community.
