Requirements:
Any person employed as a DSP by Marnder’s Community Foundation must:
· Have access to reliable transportation
· Valid driver’s license that is state-issued
· complete skills and competency-based assessments required by law or company policy
· Have a minimum of Associates Degree and/or equivalent experience working with the Intellectual /Developmental Disability population
· Be COVID -19 Vaccinated or willing to take weekly COVID tests
Duties:
· Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
· Responsible for carrying out person-centered services and supports that meet individuals medical and nonmedical needs as developed in ISP
· Complete daily documentation (e.g., incident reports, daily progress notes, goal/outcomes documentation, timesheets, etc.)
· Ability to lift /assist in transferring individuals, as needed.
· Accompany individuals to schedule appointments and assist with transporting or setting up transportation for errands medical appointments etc.
· Administer and record medications according to State and Agency requirements, where applicable (for TME’s only)
· Collect behavioral data based on Behavioral Support Plan if applicable
· Assist with tasks such as using the restroom, hand washing, eating, preparing meals, activities of daily living, social recreational activities, etc.
· Maintain a professional attitude
· Ability to foster positive relationships with individuals served
· Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands: Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
Exempt/ Non-Exempt: Exempt/ Independent Contractor
Compensation: Fee for Service
Work Schedule: Varies- (Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays)
